LAMBING SPRING 2019
OUR EWES started lambing September 2019. It went smoothly with no nasty weather events until the hoggets started lambing. Heavy rain, cold, wind, thunderstorms, hail & snow have been around for the past three weeks.
This year 35 ewes were artificially inseminated with semen from 3 rams from the UK.

Only ewes, who have free lambed and reared their lamb/s successfully, are retained in the flock.
We are aiming for sheep, which are quiet, have good mothering ability, scan & rear twins (subjected to severe storms).
The sheep also must have a structurally sound confirmation with sloping shoulders, meaty back ends and active.
