CURRIED LAMB BURGERS
500 g lean minced Lamb
1 onion, peeled and chopped
2 tsp curry powder
2 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
½tsp each salt and pepper
2 Tbsp natural yoghurt
1 cup wheatgerm
100 g ground cashew nuts or almonds (optional)
1. Combine all the ingredients together and form into 6 equal-sized patties with wet hands.
2. Lightly oil the barbecue and grill the patties for about 5 minutes per side.
3. Assemble the burgers with freshly toasted split hamburger buns and your favourite fillings.
Chutney, pickles, natural yoghurt and grilled bananas are great with the curry flavour in the patties
