OUR SIRES

HIGHLAND TEXEL STUD uses reliable sires from proven breeders, including Blackdale Stud in Southland.  In January 2022, Blackdale Stud sold a ram, Blackdale 85/20, in the Gore sale for $20,000. We used Highland 25/19, who is half brother to the sire of Blackdale 85/20.

• ​On 12/11/22, he was 84 days old weighing 51 kgs. Birth weight 7kgs.  
• He put on 523 gms per day.  See photo to the right .
