The sire of all our ewes was an AI sire from Vorn Yardstick.
  • Vorn Yardstick, bred by the late Mr John Vaughan of Herefordshire, England was the top ranking British Texel ram hogget born in 2016 with a Terminal Sire Index of 575 where the top 1% of rams are over 395.
  • His British National Texel Breeding Values were exceptional with an 8 week weight BV of 9.64kg and an autumn weight BV of 20.8kg as well as high CT muscularity.
  • His first crop of progeny in the UK has produced the 2nd highest Terminal Sire Index ram hogget born in 2017.
