LAMB STEAKS IN RED WINE & KIWIFRUIT
Serves 4 INGREDIENTS 4 lamb steaks- rump, topside or thick flank 2 cloves garlic 1/4 tsp salt & pinch black pepper 2 Tbsp oil 1/2 cup red wine paprika 2 Kiwifruit METHOD 1. Crush garlic, salt and pepper together. Rub on steaks. Put oil in frying pan until hot. Drop in steaks and brown on each side about 1/2 minute. 2. Turn frying pan heat down a little, pour in wine and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning steaks at intervals. Just before serving, slice kiwifruit and place around steaks. 3. Sprinkle steaks with paprika and top with glazed kiwifruit. Remember Texel cooks quicker than conventional lamb |
